Is chiropractic care expensive?

Chiropractic care costs vary depending on the chiropractor as well as the insurance plan. Many chiropractic offices accept major medical health insurance (as does Kauffman Chiropractic). In Ohio, chiropractors are viewed as specialists for the insurance companies and many insurance carriers have specific rules about the number of visits they will pay for and how much of each visit is covered. You can call your insurance carrier and ask what your “chiropractic benefits” are to find out.

Many people seek chiropractic care who wish to not use their insurance or do not have health insurance. Some chiropractic offices offer a time of service discount to patients who do not use insurance and pay at each visit. Our office offers this type of discount so that our care remains affordable whether or not you have health insurance.

Specifically for back pain chiropractic care has been shown to be 60% less expensive than traditional medical care1. Chiropractic is so effective for lower back pain, neck pain, and headaches, that many times the cost savings is almost immeasurable. Trying less effective modalities or medicines can end in lots of wasted money without results. Try chiropractic care first and save yourself both suffering, and money!
