The triangle of health is the basis of health and wellness. It encompasses the three major aspects of health; chemical, physical, and emotional. All three sides must be balanced and healthy in order for the whole person to be considered healthy. Let’s look at each side individually.
Physical: Wellness on the physical side of the triangle includes things like good exercise, stretching, an active lifestyle, wellness chiropractic adjustments, wellness massage etc.
Emotional/Spiritual: Wellness on the emotional/spiritual side of the triangle includes positive thinking, prayer and religion, energy healing, and much more.
Chemical/Nutritional: Wellness on the chemical/nutritional side of the triangle includes eating a balanced diet, taking proper supplementation as needed, and staying away from environmental toxins and chemicals that can harm you.
Each side of the triangle impacts the other sides of the triangle, and they cannot be separated. The body can no longer be seen as a machine, or as a collection of chemicals, it must be seen as an integrated whole wherein any change in any of the sides of the triangle affects the other sides as well. This has been the basis of chiropractic philosophy for over a hundred years!
